Arizona Persian Cultural Center

The Arizona Persian Cultural Center is Temporarily Closed

Statement on COVID-19

There is no higher priority than the health of our community, especially our elders.

The Arizona Persian Cultural Center has many active, engaged members, volunteers, and attendees who are elders. From what we have learned, the coronavirus disproportionately and severely affects elders.

Today, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially categorized COVID19 virus as a pandemic. With this in mind, the Arizona Persian Cultural Center will be temporarily closed, effective immediately.

All meetings, classes and events are postponed until it is safe to reopen the center.

This decision was based on the recommendations and information from local medical experts, WHO, NIH, and CDC.

For certain events, the Center may hold online gatherings for attendees who can attend via video. This is yet to be determined.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping with this effort,

Board of Arizona Persian Cultural Center
